Welcome to Brown University Athletics' Recreational Sports webpage, powered by the Department of Physical Education! RecSports is responsible for all Physical Education classes, the Intramural Sports Program, the Club Sports Program, Recreational Programming & Membership, and the management of the Olney-Margolies Athletic Center, known as the OMAC.

The Department of Physical Education prides itself in providing something for everyone. We work to promote and advance healthy lifestyle choices through participation opportunities, educational experiences, and supportive services. Our qualified staff is committed to excellence and is attentive to the developmental needs of the Brown community. All programs are designed to maximize participation and accommodate a wide range of interests and abilities.

PROGRAMS

Physical Education - Summer Registration
We offer over 64 Physical Education courses in the areas of Aerobics & Fitness, Martial Arts & Self-Defense, Dance, Leisure Sports and Yoga. Our physical education courses average over 2,700 participants per year. Click on the heading above for more information.

Our Intramural Sports Program consists of 25 offerings in a variety of team, dual, individual and special event programs to over 4,100 registered participants within the Brown community. Click on the heading above for more information.

Club Sports
