Bears Name 2009 Lacrosse Captains/ 2008 Team Awards Announced

Four seniors will provide leadership for the Brown men's lacrosse team with an eye on defending its Ivy League Championship. Seniors Jordan Burke (Potomac, MD), Todd Faiella (Marshfield, MA), Kyle Hollingsworth (Darien, CT) and Jack Walsh (Chevy Chase, MD) have been named captains of the 2009 Brown men's lacrosse team in an announcement made by head coach Lars Tiffany at Brown's annual team banquet on September 27th. Lacrosse Golf Outing Postponed Due To Weather, Rescheduled for Oct. 24
The 15th Annual George Joelson '43 Memorial Brown Men's Lacrosse Golf Outing, originally scheduled for Friday, September 26 at Agawam Hunt Club, has been POSTPONED due to an inclement weather forecast until Friday, October 24, 2008 at Agawam. This new golf date also coincides with Brown University's Family Weekend, held on October 24-26. The format of the Golf Outing will remain the same, registration and lunch will be at 11:30 a.m., tee-time will be at 1:00 p.m., and a post-round dinner and reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. (MORE) 8/21/08
David Evans '96 Joins Men's Lacrosse Coaching Staff
David Evans '96, one of the greatest scorers in Brown lacrosse history, has returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach for the Brown men's lacrosse team. A two-time first team All-American at Brown, Evans is a former Ivy League Player of the Year (1995) and Rookie of the Year (1993), and joins the Bears as an offensive coach following Brown's 2008 Ivy League Championship (MORE)
