![]() Ariel Meyers has been named an assistant coach for the Brown field hockey team in an announcement made by head coach Tara Harrington. She comes to Brown after spending the past two years working in Fairfax, Virginia in the field of Orthopedics, working at Commonwealth Orthopedics and most recently at Sport and Spine Rehab. (MORE) ![]() Bears Announce Team Awards The Brown field hockey team has announced the recipients of the 2007 team awards at its year-end banquet held on Sunday, April 27th. Eight different Bears earned awards led by senior Ani Kazarian (Providence, RI), who was the recipient of the Most Valuable Player Award. Seniors Sandhya Dhir (Agoura Hills, CA) and Andrea Posa (Weston, MA) were co-recipients of the Outstanding Offensive Player Award, while senior Katie Auriemma (Medford, NJ) was selected as the Outstanding Defensive Player. Senior Kristen Hodavance (Emmaus, PA) earned the Tricia E. Colligan Sportsmanship Award and junior Natalie Harrington (Locust Valley, NY) was the recipient of the John L. Danfoth Unsung Hero Award. Sophomore Whitney Knowlton (Columbus, OH) was the recipient of the Coaches' Award, while freshman Katie Hyland (Riegelsville, PA) was honored with the Outstanding Rookie Award. (MORE) ![]() Auriemma Named CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Second Team Academic All-American Former Brown field hockey player Katie Auriemma (Medford, NJ) has been named a CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Second Team Academic All-American. A First Team District I selection earlier this spring, Auriemma was up for consideration for the National Team and earned Second Team honors in a vote by the CoSIDA Academic All-American committee.
